The R Bar and Kitchen offers a modern dining experience with both indoor and outdoor seating and a unique menu. Food is available all day from 11:30am to 8:30pm Sunday to Thursday and 11.30am - 9pm Friday and Saturday.
BARS
Our R Bar and Kitchen is a contemporary bar and restaurant with a blend of sophistication and style. Headlining some of the markets finest craft and boutique beers, we offer a wide selection of dining options with a relaxed but lively atmosphere.
The R Bar and Kitchen is also suitable for functions for groups of up to 12 people in an intimate setting, or up to 100 people in the main bar and outdoor area.
Featuring a contemporary TAB and sports bar, the R Bar and Kitchen is the best Australian gastropub on Brisbane’s south side.
LOUNGE BAR
Recently refurbished, this stylish Lounge Bar delivers a comfortable environment for many different occasions.
With a generous selection of beers on tap from Local, to import and even craft beer, a modern list of cocktails and more importantly, quality service from our friendly staff.

BALLROOM

This prestigious room is perfect for larger scale functions from 60 to 300 guests.
The Ballroom includes a private bar, bathrooms, exclusive designated smoking area, dance floor, portable staging, nightclub quality speakers and lighting.

GOWAN ROOM

Elegant and stylish, the Gowan room is a versatile space suitable for all types of events, from corporate to more social style settings and intimate private dinners. This private room is fully equipped with in-house AV and projector facilities.
SUNKEN LOUNGE

Modern yet regal, the Sunken Lounge is a stunning function space that includes both indoor and outdoor access.
Ideal for birthdays, baby showers, high teas or any casual cocktail style event, the Sunken Lounge sets the perfect mood with a great ambiance.

Recently renovated, the R Bar and Kitchen has 2 different function spaces available.
The Fireplace - The Fireplace offers an intimate space perfect for any cocktail-style occasion. Built with a real fireplace, this beautiful area will make you feel right at home.
The Alfresco - A beautifully designed outdoor space set with festoon lights, hanging greenery, and a botanical feel. This picturesque space is ideal for cocktail style events of any kind.
KIDS' ROOM
Let the kids visit the playroom while dining in the restaurant. Our kids’ room features three Sony PlayStations and skill testers to keep your kids entertained.
GAMING
The Runcorn Tavern’s gaming room boasts 45 of the latest gaming machines featuring a range of link jackpots including Jackpot Carnival, Player’s Paradise, State-wide Money Train and the latest Lightning Link and Dragon Link machines.
Feel free to indulge in our complimentary coffee station, lolly bar, savoury snacks, popcorn all year-round. In winter, our Chef also provides a special ‘soup of the day’. For something more substantial, our VIP menu is also available upon request.
